Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair

WASHER SOLVENT CONTAINER REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the battery, if necessary.
2. Remove the right front tire and wheel, if necessary.




3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the washer pump assembly (4).
4. Place a container under the washer solvent container (3), and disconnect the washer hose (1) from the washer pump assembly (4).
5. Drain the washer solvent from the washer solvent container (3).




6. Remove the screws (2) from the washer solvent container (5).
7. Lower the washer solvent container (5) and slide the filler neck (3) down through the hole in the front wheelhouse panel (1).
8. Remove the washer pump (4) from the washer solvent container (5).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the washer pump (4) to the washer solvent container (5).
2. Position the washer solvent filler neck (3) through the wheelhouse panel hole (1).
3. Install the washer solvent container screws (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (26 lb in).




4. Connect the washer pump hose (1) to the washer pump (4).
5. Connect the washer pump electrical connector (2) to the washer pump (4).
6. Fill the washer solvent container with washer solvent.
7. Install the right front tire and wheel, if removed.
8. Install the battery, if removed
