Console Replacement - Front Floor
Removal Procedure
1. Apply the park brake.
2. Remove the floor console bolts from the sides of the console. Adjust the front seats as required.
3. Shift the transaxle to 2.
4. Remove the screw from the shift handle. Remove the shift handle.
5. Pull the floor console rearward slightly. Disconnect the electrical connector at the front of the floor console.
6. Remove the floor console.
7. Remove the wiring harness.
8. Remove the HUD switch, if equipped. Refer to Head Up Display Switch Replacement () .
9. Remove the traction control switch. Refer to Traction Control Switch Replacement.
10. Remove the accessory power receptacles. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console and to Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement - Floor Console.
11. Remove the armrest and the hinge. Refer to Console Armrest Replacement - Front Floor (Removal and Replacement) .
Installation Procedure
1. Install the armrest and the hinge. Refer to Console Armrest Replacement - Front Floor (Removal and Replacement) .
2. Install the accessory power receptacles. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console and to Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement - Floor Console.
3. Install the traction control switch. Refer to Traction Control Switch Replacement.
4. Install the HUD switch, if equipped. Refer to Head Up Display Switch Replacement () .
5. Install the wiring harness.
6. Position the floor console to the vehicle.
7. Connect the electrical connector at the front of the floor console. Slide the floor console toward the front of the car.
8. Install the shift handle. Install the shift handle screw.
9. Shift the transaxle to P.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
10. Install the floor console bolts. Adjust the front seats as required.
Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
11. Release the park brake.
