Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) - Center

Removal Procedure





1. Use a plastic trim tool to remove the ignition switch bezel.




2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Removal and Replacement) in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
3. Apply the park brake.
4. Shift the transaxle to 1.
5. Remove the I/P center compartment screws.
6. Remove the I/P center compartment.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the I/P center compartment locator to the opening in the vehicle location antenna module bracket.




2. Install the I/P center compartment to the I/P.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the I/P center compartment screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Shift the transaxle to P.
5. Press to release the park brake.
6. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Removal and Replacement) in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.




7. Install the ignition switch bezel.
