Knee Bolster Replacement - Right
KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT - RIGHT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) trim pad.
2. Outboard bolster only. Reposition the I/P accessory wiring junction block.
3. Outboard bolster only. Disconnect the wiring harness retainers (1, 2) from the I/P passenger knee bolster.
4. Remove the I/P passenger knee bolster bolts. Inboard shown, outboard similar.
5. Remove the I/P passenger knee bolster.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Align the I/P passenger knee bolster the I/P carrier (cross car beam).Inboard bolster shown, outboard bolster similar.
2. Start the bolts by hand to avoid cross threading. Install the I/P passenger knee bolster bolts.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
3. Outboard bolster only. Connect the wiring harness retainers (1, 2) to the I/P passenger knee bolster.
4. Outboard bolster only. Install the I/P accessory wiring junction block.
5. Install the I/P trim pad.
