Radio Replacement



RADIO REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate.

IMPORTANT: Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Radio Setup.

2. Remove the I/P center compartment.
3. Remove the HVAC control assembly.
4. Remove the radio screws.
5. Pull the radio toward you.




6. Disconnect the I/P wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector from the radio.
7. Remove the radio.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the radio to the I/P.
2. Connect the I/P wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector to the radio.




3. Install the radio to the I/P.Align the radio locator to the hole in the I/P while pressing the radio into position.

IMPORTANT: If the radio locator is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.

4. Install the radio screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the HVAC control assembly.
6. Install the I/P center compartment.
7. Install the I/P accessory trim plate.
8. Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Radio Setup.
