Multifunction, Turn Signal Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure/0m

1. Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.
3. Tilt the column to the CENTER position.
4. Disconnect the connectors from the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly .Remove 2 pan head tapping screws from the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
5. Remove the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.

Installation Procedure





1. Important: The electrical contact on the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly must rest on the turn signal cancel cam assembly.

Install the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.

2. Notice: Secure by using 2 pan head tapping screws.

3. Tighten the screws on the top and front of the column to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).
4. Connect the connectors to the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
5. Install the upper and lower trim covers.
6. Enable the SIR system.
