Hinge Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure





1. Use a grease pencil to mark the location of the hinge at the quarter panel and compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid. Refer to Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the rear compartment lid struts. Refer to Strut Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the bolts from hinge at the quarter panel.
5. Remove the hinge from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the hinge to the alignment marks on the quarter panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the hinge to rear quarter bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the rear compartment struts. Refer to Strut Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the rear compartment lid. Refer to Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
5. Close the rear compartment.
