Seat Cushion Cover Replacement - Front



SEAT CUSHION COVER REPLACEMENT - FRONT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the front seat.
2. Remove the seat trim panel.
3. Remove the J-hooks to the seat frame.
4. Remove the J-hooks by the seat belt buckle.
5. Remove the hook and loop retainer on the door side of the cushion cover.
6. Pull the trim up over the seat frame.




7. Disengage the hook and loop retainers to the seat pad.
8. Remove the cover from under the seat back.
9. Remove the front seat cushion cover from the seat frame.
10. If replacing the front passenger seat cushion pad, you must also replace the inflatable restraint passenger presence system.

CAUTION: Replace the passenger presence system as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system to operate improperly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Pull the rear of the cover under the seat back.
2. Engage the hook and loop retainers.
3. Insert the rear J-hook under the seat back.




4. Pull the trim down over the seat frame.
5. Engage the hook and loop retainer on the door side of the cushion cover.
6. Install the J-hooks by the seat belt buckle.
7. Install the J-hooks to the seat frame.
8. Install the seat trim panel.
9. Install the front seat.
10. Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Passenger Presence System Programming and Setup.

CAUTION: To avoid personal injuries, re-zero the passenger presence system whenever you remove or replace the seat cushion or trim. Failure to do so may cause the system to malfunction.
