Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair



CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
3. Remove the steering wheel.




4. Remove the cruise control switch screws (1).
5. Remove the steering wheel shroud screws (2).
6. Remove the steering wheel shroud (3).




7. Disconnect the electrical connector.
8. Remove the cruise control switch (1) from the steering wheel (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the cruise control switch (1) to the steering wheel (2).
2. Connect the electrical connector.




3. Install the steering wheel shroud (3) to the steering wheel.
4. Install the steering wheel shroud screws (2).

Tighten the steering wheel shroud screws to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the cruise control switch screws (1).

Tighten the cruise control switch screws to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

6. Install the steering wheel.
7. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in Restraint Systems.
