Crossmember Replacement - Rear Suspension

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer toLifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the rear differential. Refer toDifferential Replacement .
3. Remove the rear lower control arms. Refer toLower Control Arm Replacement .




4. Remove the rear suspension lower control arm reinforcement bolts (1).
5. Remove the rear suspension lower control arm reinforcement (2).




6. Remove the rear crossmember mounting bolts (1).
7. Remove the rear crossmember (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear crossmember (2).

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice .

2. Install the rear crossmember mounting bolts (1).

Tighten all the support bolts to 60 Nm (44 lb ft).





3. Install the rear suspension lower control arm reinforcement (2).
4. Install the rear suspension lower control arm reinforcement bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb ft) .

5. Install the rear lower control arms. Refer toLower Control Arm Replacement .
6. Install the rear differential. Refer toDifferential Replacement .
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Inspect for rear wheel alignment and adjust as necessary. Refer toMeasuring Wheel Alignment .
