Oil Cooler Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill).
2. Reposition the surge tank outlet hose clamps at the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
3. Remove the surge tank outlet hose from the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
4. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the oil cooler.
5. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the oil cooler.
6. Remove the radiator outlet hose clip from the bracket.
7. Remove the oil cooler bolts.
8. Remove the oil cooler.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the oil cooler to the engine block.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
2. Install the oil cooler bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the radiator outlet hose to the oil cooler.
4. Position the radiator outlet hose clamp at the oil cooler.
5. Install the radiator outlet hose clip to the bracket.
6. Install the surge tank outlet hose to the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
7. Position the surge tank outlet hose clamps at the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
8. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill).
