Hood Hinge Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the hood. Refer toHood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the left front fender, if necessary. Refer to Fender Replacement - Front - Left (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the right front fender, if necessary. Refer to Fender Replacement - Front - Right (Service and Repair) .
5. Mark the position of the hood hinges to ease assembly.
6. Remove the hinge bolts from the hood.
7. Remove the hood hinge (1).
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Important: When replacing the hood hinge, apply anti-corrosion treatment to the hinge and the body mating surface, and to the hinge and the hood mating surface. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair () in Paint/Coatings.
1. Install the hood hinge (1) to the vehicle, aligning the mating marks. Secure the hinge with the 2 mounting bolts.
Tighten the hinge bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
2. Install the left front fender, if removed. Refer to Fender Replacement - Front - Left (Service and Repair) .
3. Install the right front fender, if removed. Refer to Fender Replacement - Front - Right (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Install the hood. Refer toHood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
