SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKET

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disable the SIR system, if equipped with side impact inflatable restraint modules. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in Restraint Systems.

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Disconnect the side impact inflatable restraint module electrical connector (1), if equipped. The electrical connector is located beneath the seat cushion.




3. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
- The seat bolt finish covers
- The 4 bolts
- The front seat assembly

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the front seat assembly to the vehicle. Secure the seat with the 4 bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the front seat assembly bolts to 47 N.m (35 lb ft).

2. Install the seat bolt finish covers.




3. Connect the side impact inflatable restraint module electrical connector (1), if equipped.
4. Enable the SIR system, if disabled. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in Restraint Systems.
5. Perform the Passenger Presence Rezeroing procedure. Refer to Passenger Presence System Rezeroing Procedure in Restraint Systems.
