Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments

Clutch Pedal Free Travel Adjustment

1. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Inspect the clutch pedal height (4). If the clutch pedal height is not within 138.4 - 148.4 mm (5.45 - 5.84 inch), adjust the clutch pedal. Use the following procedure:
1. Loosen the locknut.
2. Turn the stopper bolt until the clutch pedal height is within 131.6 - 141.6 mm (5.18 - 5.57 inch).
3. Tighten the locknut.
Tighten the locknut to 13 Nm (115 inch lbs.).
2. Inspect the clutch pedal free play (3). If the clutch pedal free play is not within 5.0 - 15.0 mm (0.197 - 0.591 inch), adjust the clutch pedal free play. Use the following procedure:
1. Depress the clutch pedal until resistance is felt.
2. Loosen the locknut.
3. Turn the pushrod until the free play is within 5.0 - 15.0 mm (0.197 - 0.591 inch).
4. Tighten the locknut.
