Window Replacement - Rear Door
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the rear side door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the window guide channel from the rear door. Refer toWindow Guide Replacement - Door (Window Guide Replacement - Door) .
3. Disconnect the power window motor electrical connector, if equipped.
4. Remove the 4 bolts (4) that retain the regulator (3).
5. Slide the regulator arm roller (2) out of the window bottom channel (1).
6. Lift and remove the window from the rear door.
Installation Procedure
Important: Before installing the window into the door, check to see that the bottom channel is securely attached to the window. If the channel is loose, note the location of the channel on the window and then remove the channel from the window. Clean all remaining adhesive from the channel. Apply a bead of Automix Channel Bonding and Sidelite Adhesive, 3M P/N 08641, or equivalent, to the channel and install the channel onto the window. Refer to manufacturer's instructions for adhesive cure time.
1. Install the window to the rear door.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Slide the regulator arm roller (2) into the window bottom channel (1). Secure the regulator with 4 bolts.
Tighten the regulator bolts (4) to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
3. Connect the power window motor electrical connector, if equipped.
4. Install the window guide channel to the rear door. Refer toWindow Guide Replacement - Door (Window Guide Replacement - Door) .
5. Install the rear side door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
