Front Fender Liner: Service and Repair

Wheelhouse Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.




2. Remove fender flare. Refer to Flare Replacement - Front Fender () in Body Front End.
3. Remove the bolts and plastic retainers from wheel house panel.
4. Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (Production Molding) ()Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (Accessory Molding) () in Exterior Trim.
5. Disengage the plastic retainers from the wheel house panel.
6. Remove the wheel house panel (1) from the fender.



Installation Procedure


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.





1. Install the wheel house panel (1) to the fender.
2. Secure the wheel house panel (1) with the bolts and the plastic retainers.

Tighten the wheelhouse panel bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the rocker panel molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (Production Molding) ()Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (Accessory Molding) () in Exterior Trim.
4. Install the fender flare. Refer to Flare Replacement - Front Fender () in Body Front End.
5. Lower the vehicle.
