First Reverse Brake Removal





1. Measure the 1st-reverse brake assembly clearance (1) using a feeler gage (2).
^ The 1st-reverse brake assembly clearance should fall within 1.060 - 2.380 mm (0.0417 - 0.0937 inch).
^ If the 1st-reverse brake assembly clearance is below 1.060 mm (0.0417 inch), inspect the 1st-reverse brake assembly components for excessive wear or damage.





2. Remove the 1st-reverse brake snap ring (1) from the transaxle case.
3. Remove the following components from the transaxle case:
^ 1st-reverse brake flange
^ Six plates
^ Six discs
