DTC Descriptor
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC P2769 Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Electrical (Ground Short)
Conditions for Setting the DTC
^ No emergency mode.
^ TCM detects that the OFF signal (12V) of the lockup solenoid monitor, when the lockup driver outputs the ON signal (0V) for 0.5 of a second continuously.
^ Detection continuously occurs 1 time or more.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
^ The TCM will request the illumination of malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and store the DTC when the TCM detects a failure on two consecutive ignition cycles.
^ No TCC lockup solenoid.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
^ The TCM turns OFF the MIL when no further failures are detected on the next 3 consecutive ignition cycles.
^ The scan tool can clear the DTC from the TCM history.
^ The TCM clears the DTC from the TCM history memory after 40 consecutive ignition cycles without fault.
^ The TCM detects the ON signal of the lockup solenoid monitor for 1000 milliseconds.
