Surge On Light Throttle/Slight Inclines After Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Engagement In Third Or Forth Gear (Reprogram TCM)

Models:

with 4T45E Automatic Transaxle (RPO MN5) and 2.2L Engine (VIN F - RPO L61)

Condition

Some customers may comment on a surge on light throttle and slight inclines just after torque converter clutch (TCC) engagement in third or forth gear.

Correction

A revised transmission calibration has been developed to address this issue. Reprogram the TCM with the selectable calibration described as calibration for customer complaints of excessive TCC surge in 3rd/4th gear using the TIS2WEB Service Programming System (SPS) application. As always, make sure your Tech 2(R) is updated with the latest software version.
