Device Ground Circuit open

CIRCUIT/SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The folding top control (FTC) module receives ground at C 1, pin 25. The FTC Module monitors this circuit for proper operation.

CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
The FTC module is active.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The ground circuit is open or has high resistance.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The top is disabled.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
The fault is no longer present and the top completes one cycle.

CIRCUIT/SYSTEM TESTING
1. Disconnect the FTC Module connector C1.
2. Probe terminal 25 with a test lamp connected to B+. The test lamp should illuminate.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test for an open or high resistance on the ground circuit.
3. If circuit tests OK, replace the FTC Module.
