Clutch Pedal Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.




2. Remove the nut from the clutch pedal stud.
3. Remove the driver side instrument panel insulator.




4. Disconnect the clutch master cylinder push rod (1) from the clutch pedal pin (2).
5. Disconnect the clutch position sensor electrical connector.




6. Remove the clutch pedal mounting bolt (3).
7. Remove the clutch pedal mounting nuts (2).
8. Remove the clutch pedal (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the clutch pedal (1)
2. Install the clutch pedal mounting nuts (2). HAND TIGHTEN ONLY.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the clutch pedal mounting bolt (3).
^ Tighten the nuts to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).
^ Tighten the bolt to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).
4. Connect the clutch position sensor electrical connector.




5. Position the clutch master cylinder push rod (1) to the clutch pedal pin (2).
6. Push the clutch master cylinder push rod (1) onto the clutch pedal pin (2) to secure.
7. Install the driver side instrument panel insulator.




8. Install the nut to the clutch pedal stud.

Tighten the nut to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).

9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct.
10. Program the clutch position sensor. Refer to Clutch Pedal Position Sensor Learn.
