Intake Manifold Assemble

Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure




1. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold alignment pins.




2. Install the fuel injector rail.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

3. Install the fuel injector rail bolts.

Tighten the fuel injector rail bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Install the fuel injector wiring harness connector.

Upper Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure




1. Install the fuel injector sight shield ballstud.

Tighten the fuel injector sight shield ballstud to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




2. Install a NEW intake manifold tuning valve O-ring.




3. Install the intake manifold tuning valve.




4. Install the intake manifold tuning valve bolts.

Tighten the intake manifold tuning valve bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




5. Install the NEW throttle body gasket.




6. Install the throttle body.




7. Install the throttle body bolts.

Tighten the throttle body bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




8. Install the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.




9. Install the MAP sensor bolt.

Tighten the MAP sensor bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




10. Install the fuel rail support bracket.




11. Install the fuel rail support bracket bolt.

Tighten the fuel rail support bracket bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

Upper to Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure





Important: Do not reuse the upper-to-lower intake manifold gasket and the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.

1. Install the NEW upper-to-lower intake manifold gaskets.




2. Install the upper intake manifold to the lower intake manifold.




3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolt to the upper intake manifold.

Tighten the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Install the fuel rail feed hose bracket bolt to the upper intake manifold.

Tighten the fuel rail feed hose bracket bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




5. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts.

Tighten the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).
