Main Lower Shaft Assemble





Important: Note the installation position, each with the shoulder or arrows facing inwards.

1. Insert the upper 1st gear bearing assembly (231) and the lower 1st gear bearing assembly (233) into the 1st gear assembly (232), and clip together.





Important: The groove in the sychronizer hub must face the roller bearing.

2. Install the 1st gear outer blocking ring (230), the 1st gear intermediate blocking ring (229), and the 1st gear inner blocking ring (228) onto the 1st gear assembly (232).
3. Install the 1st and 2nd gear synchronizer hub (224) onto the 1st gear assembly (232).

Important: Ensure that the teeth are correctly seated, see arrow in illustration.

4. Hold the synchronizer hub and the 1st gear assembly together and at the same time, press onto the lower main shaft with a press tube (1).




5. Using retaining ring pliers, install the 1st gear retainer ring (223).




6. Install the 1st and 2nd gear insert assembly (225).
7. Install the 1st and 2nd gear sleeve (222).
8. Install the 2nd gear inner blocking ring (221), the 2nd gear intermediate blocking ring (220) and the 2nd gear outer blocking ring (219).
9. Install the 2nd gear bearing assembly (218).
10. Install the 2nd gear assembly (217)




11. Install the 2nd gear thrust washer (216) with lugs in the main lower shaft. See arrow in illustration.
12. Install the 2nd gear thrust washer retainer ring (215).




13. Install the 5th gear bearing assembly (214).
14. Install the 5th and 6th gear blocking ring (212) onto the 5th gear assembly (213).
15. Install the 5th gear synchronizer (211) and the 5th and 6th gear synchronizer hub (207) onto the 5th gear assembly (213).

Important: Ensure that the teeth are correctly seated.

16. Hold the 5th and 6th gear synchronizer hub (207) and the 5th gear assembly (213) together and at the same time, press onto the main lower shaft using a press tube (1).




17. Using a retainer ring plier, install the 5th/6th gear retainer ring (206).




18. Install the 6th gear bearing assembly (201) onto the main lower shaft.
19. Install the 5th and 6th gear inserts (208).
20. Install the 5th and 6th gear blocker sleeve (205).
21. Install the 6th gear synchronizer (204) and the 6th gear blocking ring (203) onto the synchronizer body.

Important: Ensure that the teeth are correctly seated.

22. Install the 6th gear assembly (202) onto the main lower shaft.




23. Install the main shaft bearing assembly (200) onto the main lower shaft using a pinion puller pipe (2) to press it on.




24. Install the main shaft bearing assembly (235) onto the main lower shaft using a pinion puller pipe (2) and a differential bearing support (3).
