Front Fender Replacement

Removal Procedure

Notice: Refer to Tape Corners of Panel Notice.

1. Apply tape to panel and adjacent surfaces.
2. Remove the hood.
3. Remove the hood hinge.
4. Remove the front fender liner.
5. Remove the front bumper fascia.
6. Remove the front bumper fascia upper support.
7. Remove the washer solvent container if replacing the right front fender.




8. Remove the front fender bolt (2) from inside the front wheel well.
9. Remove the front fender bolt (1) from inside the front door hinge pillar.




10. Remove the rocker molding.
11. Remove the bolts from the fender at the rocker panel.




12. Remove the bolt from the fender at the front compartment side rail.




13. Remove the bolt from the fender at the lower engine compartment side rail.
14. Remove the front fender from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the fender to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the fender to front compartment side rail bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 6 N.m (53 lb in).




3. Install the fender to rocker panel bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

4. Install the rocker molding.




5. Install the front fender bolt (2) inside the front wheel well.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

6. Install the front fender bolt (1) from inside the front door hinge pillar.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




7. Install the fender to front compartment side rail bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (70 lb in).

8. Install the washer solvent container if replacing the right front fender.
9. Install the front bumper fascia upper support.
10. Install the front bumper fascia.
11. Install the front fender liner.
12. Install the hood hinge.
13. Install the hood.
14. Remove the protective tape.
