Rear Door Replacement
Removal Procedure
Notice: Refer to Paint Damage Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Apply masking tape to the fender and door edges.
2. Open the door.
3. Remove the rear door trim panel.
4. Remove the rear door water deflector.
5. Remove the rear door inner energy absorber pad.
6. Remove the rear door inner window sealing strip.
7. Remove the rear door outer window sealing strip.
8. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip.
9. Remove the rear door frame applique.
10. Remove the rear door stationary window with the weatherstrip.
11. Remove the rear door window channel retainer.
12. Remove the rear door window.
13. Remove the rear door window regulator.
14. Remove the lock rod guide block.
15. Remove the rear door inside door handle.
16. Remove the rear door outside door handle.
17. Remove the rear door lock.
18. Remove the rear door body side molding.
19. Remove the electrical harness from the door.
20. Remove the rear door rubber conduit.
21. Support the rear door.
22. Remove the door side hinge bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3, 4).
23. Remove the door with the aid of an assistant.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the door with the aid of an assistant to the vehicle.
2. Install the door side hinge bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3, 4).
3. Remove the rear door support.
4. Install the rear door rubber conduit.
5. Install the electrical harness to the door.
6. Install the rear door body side molding.
7. Install the rear door lock.
8. Install the rear door outside door handle.
9. Install the lock rod guide block.
10. Install the rear door inside door handle.
11. Install the rear door window regulator.
12. Install the rear door window.
13. Install the rear door window channel retainer.
14. Install the rear door stationary window with the weatherstrip.
15. Install the rear door frame applique.
16. Install the rear door window weatherstrip.
17. Install the rear door outer window belt sealing strip.
18. Install the rear door inner window belt sealing strip.
19. Install the rear door inner energy absorber pad.
20. Install the rear door water deflector.
21. Install the rear door trim panel.
22. Inspect the door for proper operation and alignment.
23. Remove the masking tape.
