Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer

SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR WINDOW BELT OUTER

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. NOTE: Refer to Paint Damage Notice.

Apply masking tape to the door frame and appqlique.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel.
3. Lower the window to the full down position.

4. IMPORTANT: Lift upward on the sealing strip at the front edge of the rear door stationary window to prevent damage to the sealing strip.

Remove the outer belt sealing strip screw (2).
5. Remove the outer belt sealing strip (1) from the door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. IMPORTANT: Align the strip properly to the door inner panel for screw installation.

Install the outer belt sealing strip (2) to the door Press the outer belt sealing strip firmly onto the pinch-weld flange.
2. Lower the window to the full down position.

3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Install the outer belt sealing strip screw (1).

Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
4. Remove the masking tape.
5. Inspect the window for proper operation.
6. Install the rear door trim panel.
