Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (RPO LS4)

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, L32 GE 47716 Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, L32 Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (LS4 GE 47716 Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (LS4 Static Fill).




2. Use J 38185 to reposition the heater inlet hose clamp at the heater pipe.

Important: Cap or plug the cooling components to prevent system contamination.

3. Remove the heater inlet hose (1) from the heater pipe.




4. Use J 38185 to reposition the heater inlet hose clamp at the heater core.
5. Remove the heater inlet hose (1) from the heater core.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect heater inlet hose (1) to the heater core.
2. Use J 38185 to reposition the heater inlet hose to the heater core clamp.




3. Install the heater inlet hose (1) to the heater pipe.
4. Use J 38185 to reposition the heater inlet hose to the heater pipe clamp.
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, L32 GE 47716 Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, L32 Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (LS4 GE 47716 Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (LS4 Static Fill).
