Rear Suspension Support Crossmember Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the rear differential.
3. Remove the rear lower control arms.




4. Remove the rear suspension lower control arm reinforcement bolts (1).
5. Remove the rear suspension lower control arm reinforcement (2).




6. Remove the rear crossmember mounting bolts (1).
7. Remove the rear crossmember (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear crossmember (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the rear crossmember mounting bolts (1).

Tighten all the support bolts to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).




3. Install the rear suspension lower control arm reinforcement (2).
4. Install the rear suspension lower control arm reinforcement bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

5. Install the rear lower control arms.
6. Install the rear differential.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Inspect for rear wheel alignment and adjust as necessary.
