Front Side Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Remove the rear view mirror.
4. Remove the outer sealing strip.
5. Remove the door weather-strip.
6. Remove the door window weather-strip.
7. Remove the window guide.
8. Remove the door lock.
9. Remove the door lock cylinder.
10. Remove the outside door handle.
11. Remove the door window.
12. Remove the door window regulator and motor.
13. Remove the front upper door speaker.
14. Remove the front lower door speaker.
15. Remove the front door body side molding.
16. Remove the front lower door side molding.
17. Remove the left fender, if necessary.
18. Remove the right fender, if necessary.
19. Remove the door check link.




20. Release the door wiring harness grommet and unroute the wiring harness (3) from the door (6) and door jamb, if equipped.
21. Remove the front door wiring harness from the vehicle, if equipped.
22. Remove all the retainers from the front door (6).
23. Mark the door hinge (2, 4) location.
24. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

* The 4 door to hinge bolts (1, 5)
* The front door (6)

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

1. Install the front door (6) to the vehicle. Align the matchmarks on the hinges (2, 4) in order to aid in the correct adjustment of the door. Secure the door to the hinges (2, 4) with the 4 bolts (1, 5).

Tighten the door to hinge bolts to 26 N.m (19 lb ft).

2. Install all the plastic retainers to the door (6).
3. Route the door wiring harness (3) and seat the grommet into position in the door (6).
4. Install the door check link.
5. Install the left fender, if removed.
6. Install the right fender, if removed.
7. Install the front door body side molding.
8. Install the front door side molding.
9. Install the door window regulator and motor.
10. Install the front lower door speaker.
11. Install the front upper door speaker.
12. Install the door window.
13. Install the outside door handle.
14. Install the door lock cylinder.
15. Install the door lock.
16. Install the door window weather-strip.
17. Install the door weather-strip.
18. Install the outer sealing strip.
19. Install the outside rearview mirror.
20. Install the water deflector.
21. Install the door trim panel.
