Hood Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the hood.
2. Remove the air inlet grille panel.
3. Remove the left front fender, if necessary.
4. Remove the right front fender, if necessary.




5. Mark the position of the hood hinges to ease assembly.
6. Remove the hinge bolts from the hood.
7. Remove the hood hinge (1).

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Important: When replacing the hood hinge, apply anti-corrosion treatment to the hinge and the body mating surface, and to the hinge and the hood mating surface.

1. Install the hood hinge (1) to the vehicle, aligning the mating marks. Secure the hinge with the 2 mounting bolts.

Tighten the hinge bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

2. Install the left front fender, if removed.
3. Install the right front fender, if removed.
4. Install the air inlet grille panel.
5. Install the hood.
