Floor Panel Carpet Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution.

1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the body hinge pillar trim panels.
3. Remove all 4 side door sill trim plates.
4. Remove the center pillar lower trim panels.
5. Remove the front floor console.
6. Remove the rear floor console.
7. Remove the front seats.
8. Remove the accessory AC/DC power control module.
9. Remove the compact disc player, if equipped.
10. Remove the 4 front retaining bolts from the rear seat, and reposition the rear seat.




11. Remove the 3 plastic retainers (1) which secure the front of the floor panel carpet (6).
12. Remove the floor carpet retainers (2) from each door opening.




13. Remove the front seat belt (1) lower anchor bolt from each side of the vehicle.




14. Remove the 4 plastic retainers (3) which secure the rear of the floor panel carpet (6).
15. Remove the footrest.
16. Remove the floor mats from the vehicle, if equipped.
17. Remove the floor panel carpet (6) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the floor panel carpet (6) to the vehicle.
2. Reposition the carpet under the body side lower rear garnish moldings.
3. Install the foot rest.
4. Install the 4 plastic retainers (3) which secure the rear of the floor carpet (6).





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

5. Install each of the front seat belt (1) lower anchor bolts to the floor.

Tighten the bolts to 42 N.m (31 lb in).




6. Install the floor carpet retainers (2) to each door opening.
7. Install the 3 plastic retainers (1) which secure the front of the floor panel carpet (6).
8. Reposition the rear seat assembly and install the 4 front retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

9. Install the compact disc player, if removed.
10. Install the accessory AC/DC power control module.
11. Install the front seats.
12. Install the rear floor console.
13. Install the front floor console.
14. Install the center pillar lower trim panels.
15. Install all 4 side door sill trim plates.
16. Install the body hinge pillar trim panels.
17. Install the floor mats, if equipped.
18. Enable the SIR system.
