Front Side Door Replacement

Removal Procedure


Notice: Refer to Paint Damage Notice .

1. Apply masking tape to the fender and door edges.
2. Open the door.
3. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the front door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement (Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement) .
6. Remove the outside mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror Replacement) .
7. Remove the front door window belt inner sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
8. Remove the front door window belt outer sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
9. Remove the front door window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement) .
10. Remove the front door frame applique. Refer to Front Side Door Window Frame Rear Applique and Outer Weatherstrip Replacement () .
11. Remove the window channel retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement (Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement) .
12. Remove the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair) .
13. Remove the front door window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Service and Repair) .
14. Remove the front door inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
15. Remove the lock rod guide block. Refer to Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement (Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement) .
16. Remove the front door outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
17. Remove the front door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement (Front Side Door Lock Replacement) .
18. Remove the front door body side molding. Refer to Body Side Molding Replacement (Service and Repair) .
19. Remove the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.
20. Remove the electrical harness from the door.
21. Remove the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Replacement .
22. Remove the front door hinge bolts from the door side. Refer to Front Side Door Adjustment (Adjustments) .




23. Support the front door.
24. Remove the door with the aid of an assistant.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the door with the aid of an assistant to the vehicle.
2. Install the front door hinge bolts. Refer to Front Side Door Adjustment (Adjustments) .
3. Remove the front door support.
4. Install the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Replacement .
5. Install the electrical harness to the door.
6. Install the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.
7. Install the front door body side molding. Refer to Body Side Molding Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Install the front door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement (Front Side Door Lock Replacement) .
9. Install the front door outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
10. Install the lock rod guide block. Refer to Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement (Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement) .
11. Install the front door inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
12. Install the front door window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Service and Repair) .
13. Install the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair) .
14. Install the window channel retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement (Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement) .
15. Install the front door frame applique. Refer to Front Side Door Window Frame Rear Applique and Outer Weatherstrip Replacement () .
16. Install the front door window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement) .
17. Install the front door window outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
18. Install the front door window inner sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
19. Install the outside mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror Replacement) .
20. Install the front door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement (Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement) .
21. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
22. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
23. Inspect the door for proper operation and alignment.
24. Remove the masking tape.
