Rear Door Replacement

Removal Procedure


Notice: Refer to Paint Damage Notice .

1. Apply masking tape to the fender and door edges.
2. Open the door.
3. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Rear Side Door Inner Panel Lower Energy Absorber Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Remove the rear door inner window sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
7. Remove the rear door outer window sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
8. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement) .
9. Remove the rear door frame applique. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Frame Front Applique and Front Channel Replacement () .
10. Remove the rear door stationary window with the weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement (Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement) .
11. Remove the rear door window channel retainer. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement) .
12. Remove the rear door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Replacement) .
13. Remove the rear door window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Service and Repair) .
14. Remove the lock rod guide block. Refer to Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement (Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement) .
15. Remove the rear door inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
16. Remove the rear door outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
17. Remove the rear door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement (Rear Door Lock Replacement) .
18. Remove the rear door body side molding. Refer to Body Side Molding Replacement (Service and Repair) .
19. Remove the electrical harness from the door.
20. Remove the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Door Replacement .
21. Support the rear door.




22. Remove the door side hinge bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3, 4). Refer to Rear Door Adjustment (Adjustments) .
23. Remove the door with the aid of an assistant.



Installation Procedure

1. Position the door with the aid of an assistant to the vehicle.




2. Install the door side hinge bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3, 4). Refer to Rear Door Adjustment (Adjustments) .
3. Remove the rear door support.
4. Install the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Door Replacement .
5. Install the electrical harness to the door.
6. Install the rear door body side molding. Refer to Body Side Molding Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Install the rear door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement (Rear Door Lock Replacement) .
8. Install the rear door outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
9. Install the lock rod guide block. Refer to Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement (Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement) .
10. Install the rear door inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
11. Install the rear door window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Service and Repair) .
12. Install the rear door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Replacement) .
13. Install the rear door window channel retainer. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement) .
14. Install the rear door stationary window with the weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement (Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement) .
15. Install the rear door frame applique. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Frame Front Applique and Front Channel Replacement () .
16. Install the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement) .
17. Install the rear door outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
18. Install the rear door inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
19. Install the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Rear Side Door Inner Panel Lower Energy Absorber Replacement (Service and Repair) .
20. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
21. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
22. Inspect the door for proper operation and alignment.
23. Remove the masking tape.
