Rear Seat Back Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) .




2. Press the bolster aside and remove the pivot bolt from the fold down section.
3. Fold the seat back section about half way down.
4. Rotate the pivot bolt side out and remove the seat back section from the seat back frame.
5. Remove the seat back section from the vehicle.




6. Remove the bolts securing the cargo net retainers to the seat back.
7. Remove the retainers from the seat back.




8. Disconnect the J-hook on the bottom of the seat back.
9. Remove the staples from the seat back, lower trim flaps.




10. Reach inside of the rear seat back cover to unfasten the hook and the loop retainers which secure the rear seat back cover to the pad.
11. Pull the rear seat back cover up and off the seat back.



Installation Procedure

1. Position the rear seat back cover on the pad.




2. Pull the rear seat back cover down over the pad. Align the hook and the loop retainers.
3. Use firm hand pressure to fasten the hook and loop retainers, securing the cover to the pad.
4. Install the staples to the seat back, lower trim flaps.




5. Pull the rear seat back cover over the pad and pull over and under the bottom.
6. Connect the J-hook on the bottom of the seat back.




7. Position the cargo net retainers on the seat back.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

8. Install the cargo net retainer bolts.

Tighten the bolt to 3 N.m (27 lb in).





9. Engage the inboard side of the seat section on the pivot arm which is located on the lower frame (2).




10. Rotate the seat back section to the installed position.
11. Install the pivot bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

12. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) .
