Heater Outlet Hose Replacement



Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (L26 - 3.8L)

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers


Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 - 5.3L GE 47716 Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 - 5.3L Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 - 3.8L GE 47716 Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 - 3.8L Static Fill) (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (Service and Repair) .




3. Use J 38185 in order to position aside the heater hose outlet clamp at the pipe adapter.
4. Disconnect the heater outlet hose from the pipe adapter.
5. Remove the heater hose from the support bracket.
6. Use J 38185 in order to position aside the heater core outlet hose clamp.
7. Disconnect the heater outlet hose from the heater core.



Installation Procedure

1. Connect the heater outlet hose to the heater core.
2. Use J 38185 in order to secure the heater core hose outlet clamp.
3. Install the heater hose to the support bracket.




4. Connect the heater outlet hose to the pipe adapter.
5. Use J 38185 in order to secure the heater hose outlet clamp.
6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 - 5.3L GE 47716 Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 - 5.3L Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 - 3.8L GE 47716 Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 - 3.8L Static Fill) (Service and Repair) .
