Wiper Arm Pressure Check





1. Remove the wiper blades from the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement (Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement) .
2. Attach a scale to the end of the wiper arm and measure the force required to lift the wiper arm to the following dimensions:

* Driver side wiper arm 37.3 mm (1.5 in) off of the windshield.
* Passenger side wiper arm 10.5 mm (0.4 in) off of the windshield.

3. Replace the wiper arm if the measurement is not within the specification. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement (Service and Repair) .

4. Install the wiper blades on the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement (Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement) .
