Steering Wheel Shroud Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement (Steering Wheel Replacement) .




4. Remove the cruise control switch screws (1).
5. Remove the steering wheel shroud screws (2).
6. Remove the steering wheel shroud (3).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the steering wheel shroud (3) to the steering wheel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the steering wheel shroud screws (2).

Tighten the steering wheel shroud screws to 2.2 N.m (19 lb in).

3. Install the cruise control switch screws (1).

Tighten the cruise control switch screws to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

4. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement (Steering Wheel Replacement) .
5. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair) .
