Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement).
2. Remove the charge air cooler outlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement).
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.




5. Remove the air cleaner assembly front bolt.
6. Firmly tug on the air cleaner lower assembly in order to disengage the air cleaner from the studs.
7. Remove the air cleaner assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the air cleaner assembly to the vehicle.
2. Position the air cleaner assembly over the studs. Firmly press down over the studs in order to engage the air cleaner to the studs.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the air cleaner assembly front bolt and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the MAF sensor.
5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the charge air cooler outlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement).
7. Install the charge air cooler inlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement).
