DTC Descriptor
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC P2770 Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Electrical (Open or Short to Power)
Conditions for Setting the DTC
* No emergency mode.
* TCM detects that the ON signal (12V) of the lockup solenoid monitor, when the lockup driver outputs the OFF signal (0V) for 0.5 of a second continuously.
* Detection continuously occurs 1 time or more.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* The TCM will request the illumination of Hold/Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) and store the DTC when the TCM detects a failure on two consecutive ignition cycles.
* TCM outputs no lockup signal.
* First gear fixed under 10km/h (6 mph).
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* The TCM turns off the Hold/Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) when no further failures are detected on the next 3 consecutive ignition cycles.
* The scan tool can clear the DTC from the TCM history.
* The TCM clears the DTC from the TCM history memory after 40 consecutive ignition cycles without fault.
* The TCM detects the OFF signal of the lockup solenoid monitor, when lockup solenoid driver outputs the OFF signal for 1000 milliseconds.
