Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Replacement

Special Tools
* J 28647-B - Engine Support Fixture
* KM-6625 - Flywheel Locking Device

Removal Procedure

1. Install J 28647-B - Engine Support Fixture.
2. Remove the automatic transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement ().




3. Install KM-6625 - locking device (1) to block the crankshaft.
4. Install the transmission bolt with KM-6625 - locking device.




5. Remove the flexible plate bolts (2).
6. Remove the flexible plate (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the flexible plate (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the flexible plate bolts (2).

Tighten the flexible plate bolts (2) to 35 Nm +30° +15° (25.8 lb ft +30° +15°).




3. Remove KM-6625 - locking device (1) to block the crankshaft.
4. Install the automatic transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement ().
5. Remove J 28647-B - Engine Support Fixture.
