Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment

1. Adjust the compartment lid cross-car by loosening the hinge to rear window lower panel nuts. Position the deck lid as needed. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Replacement (Convertible) Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Replacement (Convertible)Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Replacement (Coupe/Sedan) Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Replacement (Coupe/Sedan)Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement Service and Repair.
2. Adjust the front of the deck lid fore and aft by loosening the deck lid to hinge arm bolts. Position as needed.
3. Adjust the rear of the compartment lid by adjusting the lock striker up and down.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Tighten the rear compartment lid hinge to quarter panel nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

5. Tighten the rear compartment deck lid to hinge arm bolts.

Tighten the nuts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

6. Tighten the latch striker bolts when the adjustments are complete.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
