62. Intake Manifold Installation

Intake Manifold Installation





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install the intake manifold studs in the manifold face and tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb in).




2. Install a new intake manifold gasket on the intake manifold.
3. Install the intake manifold.
4. Install the intake manifold bolts and nuts finger tight.




5. Tighten the intake manifold bolts and nuts in sequence to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




6. Lubricate NEW fuel injector tip insulators with engine oil.
7. Install NEW fuel injector tip insulators.




8. Lubricate the fuel injector oil rings with engine oil.
9. Install the fuel rail assembly.
10. Install the fuel rail fastener and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




11. Install a new throttle body gasket.
12. Install the throttle body.
13. Install the throttle body bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




14. Install the air pump assembly (1).
15. Install the air pump assembly bolts (2, 3) and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).




16. Install the EVAP canister valve (2) and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
17. Install the EVAP canister valve tube (1).
