Trailing Arm Bracket Replacement (Sedan/Coupe)
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair.
3. Remove the 4 trailing arm bracket to body bolts.
4. Remove the rear parking brake cable routing bolt from the trailing arm.
5. Remove the 3 trailing arm to knuckle through bolts (1).
6. Disconnect the park brake cable routing clip from the trailing arm bracket.
7. Remove the trailing arm and bracket as an assembly from the vehicle.
8. Place trailing arm and bracket as an assembly on a work bench.
9. Remove the trailing arm to bracket bolt and nut.
10. Separate the trailing arm bracket from the trailing arm.
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
1. Position the trailing arm to the bracket, install the bolt and nut.
Tighten the trailing arm to bracket through bolt and nut to 60 Nm (44 lb ft) plus 60 degrees.
2. Position the trailing arm and bracket assembly to the vehicle.
3. Connect the park brake cable routing clip to the trailing arm bracket.
4. Install the 3 trailing arm to knuckle bolts (1).
Tighten the 3 trailing arm to knuckle bolts to 180 Nm (133 lb ft).
5. Install the rear parking brake cable routing bolt to the trailing arm.
Tighten the routing bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
6. Install the trailing arm bracket to body bolts.
Tighten the bracket to body bolts to 90 Nm (66 lb ft) plus 30 degrees plus an additional 15 degrees.
7. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair.
8. Lower the vehicle.
