Oil Pump Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement Service and Repair.




2. Remove the oil pump bolt.
3. Remove the oil pump and the oil pump drive shaft.
4. Inspect the oil pump drive shaft and the oil pump.

Installation Procedure

Note: Rotate the oil pump drive shaft as necessary in order to obtain the engagement with the oil pump drive unit.




1. Install the oil pump drive shaft and the oil pump.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the oil pump bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 41 Nm (30 lb ft).

3. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement Service and Repair.
