Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement - Right Side (LZ4) (3.5L)

Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Exhaust Service Warning Service Precautions.

Warning: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Warning Protective Goggles and Glove Warning.





1. Remove the bank 1 sensor 1 heated oxygen sensor (HO2S). Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 Sensor 1 Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 Sensor 1.
2. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts.
3. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
3. Install the bank 1 sensor 1 HO2S. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 Sensor 1 Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 Sensor 1.
