Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
2. Remove the I/P outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement.
3. Remove the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
4. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement Knee Bolster Replacement.
5. Remove the cluster trim bezel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement.
6. Remove the cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement Service and Repair.
7. Remove the I/P center trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement.
8. Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement HVAC - Manual.
9. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement Radio Replacement.
10. Remove the ignition switch wire harness connectors. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement Service and Repair.
11. Remove the park lock cable at the ignition switch. Refer to Park Lock Cable Replacement 4T45-E - Automatic Transmission.
12. Remove the accessory switch assembly. Refer to Accessory Switch Replacement Service and Repair.




13. Remove the I/P trim pad screws.




14. Remove the I/P pad.
15. Remove the ignition switch from the I/P pad. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement Service and Repair.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the ignition switch from the I/P pad. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement Service and Repair.




2. Install the I/P pad.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Tighten the I/P trim pad screws.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).

4. Install the park lock cable at the ignition switch. Refer to Park Lock Cable Replacement 4T45-E - Automatic Transmission.
5. Install the ignition switch wire harness connectors. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement Service and Repair.
6. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement Radio Replacement.
7. Install the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement HVAC - Manual.
8. Install the accessory switch assembly. Refer to Accessory Switch Replacement Service and Repair.
9. Install the I/P center trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement.
10. Install the cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement Service and Repair.
11. Install the cluster trim bezel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement.
12. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement Knee Bolster Replacement.
13. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
14. Install the I/P outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement.
15. Install the I/P upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
