DTC C1296

Circuit Description

If a malfunction in the speed sensor signal circuit or the yaw rate sensor circuit occurs, the 4WD control module will output this DTC.

DTC Descriptor

This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:

DTC C1296 ABS Malfunction

Conditions for Running the DTC

This DTC shall run when the ignition is On.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

When one of the following conditions is met:

* Wheel speed sensor malfunction is received from skid control module.
* Deceleration sensor malfunction is received from the skid control module.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The 4WD control module will prohibit operations by the fail safe function.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The DTC will clear when conditions for setting the DTC have been repaired.
