Floor Panel Carpet Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to SIR Warning (SIR Warning).

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the floor mats from the vehicle, if equipped.
3. Remove the body hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement (Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement).
4. Remove all 4 side door sill trim plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Front Sill) (Door Sill Plate Replacement (Front Sill))Door Sill Plate Replacement (Rear Sill) (Door Sill Plate Replacement (Rear Sill)).
5. Remove the center pillar lower trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement).
6. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Front Floor Console Replacement).
7. Remove the rear floor console. Refer to Rear Floor Console Replacement (Rear Floor Console Replacement).
8. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
9. Remove the vehicle YAW sensor. Refer to Vehicle Yaw Sensor with Vehicle Lateral Accelerometer Replacement (Service and Repair).




10. Remove the two clips (1).
11. Disengage the two guides (2) and remove the communication interface module cover (3).




12. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the A/C D/C module and the communication interface module.
13. Remove the three bolts (1) from the module bracket.
14. Remove the module bracket from the vehicle.
15. Remove the speaker amplifier, if equipped. Refer to Radio Speaker Amplifier Replacement (Service and Repair).
16. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement).




17. Remove the two plastic retainers (1) which secure the front of the floor panel carpet (4).
18. Remove the plastic retainer (5) which secure the middle of the floor panel carpet (4).
19. Remove the two plastic retainers (3) which secure the rear of the floor panel carpet (4).
20. Disengage the floor carpet retainers (2) from each door opening.
21. Remove the floor panel carpet (4) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the floor panel carpet (4) to the vehicle.
2. Engage the floor carpet retainers (2) to each door opening.
3. Install the two plastic retainers (3) which secure the rear of the floor panel carpet (4).
4. Install the plastic retainer (5) which secure the middle of the floor panel carpet (4).
5. Install the two plastic retainers (1) which secure the front of the floor panel carpet (4).




6. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement).
7. Install the speaker amplifier, if equipped. Refer to Radio Speaker Amplifier Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Install the module bracket to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

9. Install the three bolts (1) to the module bracket and tighten to 19 Nm (14 lb ft).
10. Connect the electrical connectors to the A/C D/C power module and the communication interface module.




11. Engage the two guides (2) and install the communication interface module cover (3).
12. Install the two clips (1).
13. Install the vehicle YAW sensor. Refer to Vehicle Yaw Sensor with Vehicle Lateral Accelerometer Replacement (Service and Repair).
14. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
15. Install the rear floor console. Refer to Rear Floor Console Replacement (Rear Floor Console Replacement).
16. Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Front Floor Console Replacement).
17. Install the center pillar lower trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement).
18. Install all 4 side door sill trim plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Front Sill) (Door Sill Plate Replacement (Front Sill))Door Sill Plate Replacement (Rear Sill) (Door Sill Plate Replacement (Rear Sill)).
19. Install the body hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement (Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement).
20. Install the floor mats from the vehicle, if removed.
21. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
