Exhaust Camshaft and Valve Lifter Removal

Removal Procedure





Important: Uniformly loosen the bolts while keeping the camshaft level. Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.


1. Using several steps, uniformly loosen and remove the 10 bearing cap bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
2. Remove the 5 bearing caps.
3. Remove the exhaust camshaft.




4. Remove the exhaust camshaft bearing from the cylinder head.
