Front Differential Carrier Assembly Disassemble




1. Using a puller (1), remove the front differential carrier front bearing from the differential assembly.




2. Using a puller (1), remove the front differential case front bearing outer race from the transaxle housing.




3. Using a puller (1), remove the front differential carrier rear bearing from the differential assembly.




4. Using a suitable puller (1), remove the front differential case rear bearing outer race from the transaxle housing.




5. Place matchmarks on the front differential ring gear and differential case.




6. Release the lock plate.




7. Remove the bolts and the ring gear lock plates.




8. Using a plastic hammer, remove the front differential ring gear from the differential case.




9. Remove the front differential pinion shaft pin.
10. Using a punch and a hammer, release the differential case.




11. Using a pin punch and a hammer, remove the pin.




12. Remove the front differential pinion shaft from the front differential case.




13. Remove the front differential pinions, front differential pinion thrust washers, front differential side gears and front differential side gear thrust washers from the front differential case.
